The BTEC Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification that has been developed to give learners the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge to support the teaching of adults.Achieving the Level 3 Award in Education and Training will provide sufficient evidence that the learner has obtained the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare, plan, deliver and evaluate basic teaching and learning sessions in a variety of teaching or training contexts. Achieving this Award will provide sufficient evidence that the learner has acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare, plan, deliver and evaluate basic teaching and learning sessions, in a variety of teaching or training contexts. This introductory, knowledge-based teaching qualification has no minimum teaching practice requirement. Therefore, it may be undertaken by individuals who are not in a teaching role. However, there is a minimum requirement to take part in micro–teaching.

How long does it take
The course is delivered over 5 days over 5 weeks. We normally run courses on a Wednesday, but we can arrange to deliver on alternative days if needed, including weekends. In total students are required to study for a minimum of 48 guided learning hours including time spent on assignments

Can I study online?
This course is available online via the moodle and can also be mixed with in-house or 1-2-1 coaching sessions to create a blended programme that is tailored to your individual needs
Where do I study
Courses can be delivered at your work place (for 5 or more learners). Individual's study at our training centre in Willerby. We normally work with small groups of 5 or 6 at any one time to make sure that learners receives the level of support they may need
